IPE T&G PORCH FLOORING - Kiln Dried

Used for covered applications such as screened and covered porches. Kiln dried to mitigate further shrinking after installation. Due to the extreme density, Ipe will not gain moisture and swell despite being kiln dried. Other suppliers offer air dried porch flooring that will shrink extensively after installation (especially 1x6). Air dried Porch Flooring cannot be acclimated adequately to prevent shrinking including width variation and thickness.

MEZITAUBA DECKING & PORCH FLOORING

The only other specie we carry other than Ipe, Mezitauba is darker and more uniform in color from board-to-board than Ipe. Sharing similar density properties to Ipe, Mezitauba will provide long lasting performance and the beauty expected in hardwood decking. In porch flooring applications, it's warm and consistent color is ideal when a more formal appearance is desired.

Bagassa wood originates from Brasil and shares the same insect and moisture resistant properties to Ipe. Lesser known species, such as Bagassa, are not in the high demand category to that of Ipe and are offered at a lower cost. Bagassa performs best in covered applications such as screened and covered porches.
